Gantry core XY rails loose slop

Hi I’ve got to step 5-Core on a primo build and I have an issue with the XY gantry rails having to much slop in the clamps on the core. I’ve used the latest version of the STL files (V1 august 2020 ) to print the parts in PLA. I’ve tried the technique in the ‘Loose Core’ thread but this seems to push the bearings held in the clamps further away from the gantry rail and this makes the problem worse. I’m wondering if I need to use bolts with a shoulder, the ones I’m using are metric, fully threaded. M8x40. I’ve noticed there is a little bit of play between the bearing and the bolt.

Think I fixed it. Just tightened them up until it felt ok. They definitely weren’t going to have no slop without the nuts tightened up on the bottom of the bearing that sits in the clamp itself though. Is that because I’m using metric bolts?

If anyone else has this problem maybe wait until someone more knowledgeable chimes in in case I’m heading down a dead end!
