Fusion 360 Update Issues [Solved]

Autodesk has had a couple updates in the past few weeks that alter the gcode when generated by Post Process.

  1. It has replaced M3 commands with M0. I don’t use FluidNC’s gui so I don’t know if it affects that but with Octoprint running the Better GRBL Support plugin that plugin is set to Pause and Block M0 commands generating an error.

To fix this click the wrench icon at the top for settings, go to Serial Connection > Firmware & protocol: Remove M0 from “Blocked commands” and “Pausing commands” and add it to “Ignored commands”.

  1. Under Post Process there is now a checkbox under 1-Job at the top called “Zero Starting Location (G92)”, make sure that box is unchecked otherwise it will set the Home Location wherever the MPCNC currently is and not where you manually homed it to.

M0 is gcode for ‘pause’. Depending on your setup, you may not have a way of clicking past the pause.
