Fluidnc with skr pro 1.2

Hello from germany,

I am building a lowrider 4 right now and planning to use Fluid NC for Tage control. I have an skr pro Board v1.2 as controlboard.

Has anyone realised this Setup already and can give me some advise regarding pin connection and programming?

Beside that i have got an btt 3.5" TFT but the fw provided by v1engineering shows a printer instead of a mill on the touchscreen (BIGTREE_TFT35_V3.0_E3.27.x.bin)

Thank you, Best regards

Lou

Skr Pro runs Marlin, jackpot runs fluidnc. You can use one or the other.

Follow the link tou are going to be building with. There is everything you need regarding wiring and all. Ask whatever you need later. We can help

Thank you Cesar for your answer!

So If im getting it right i can’t run Fluid NC to connect to the Board?

Instead i could use Klipper or Marlin for the Controller and a Raspberry for wireless control, right?

Best regards
Lou

If you have and intend to use the skr board. No you cant run fluidnc. Your flavor will be marlin. There is nothing wrong with it, if you are new to cnc follot the Software workflow from the v1 guides. Its a great place to start. There you will learn about the post processor in your cam software just select the Marlin post processor and it will work as  good

Thank you Cesar!

You can always ask whatever you need but first i recommend the basics reading of the docs. You can learn how to troubleshoot some things there but not all. This community will help you out with most or all your concerns, they must be sleeping or something like. Its pretty early

I think that you don’t need the Raspberry Pi to run wireless, but you do need to add an ESP-01S module to the SKR Pro v1.2. There are a few threads on the forum showing how it is done.
