I’m using 11.245 with an Arduino running grbl 1.1. I have a new engraver project that uses a pneumatic cylinder for z-axis position. The cylinder is controlled by a 24vdc solenoid valve, power to move cutter into workpiece. Will Estlcam be able to control a relay to operate the solenoid valve? I need to have the solenoid powered while the spindle is cutting, but powered off/retracted when moving between positions. Can EstlCAM be configured to do this, and which Arduino pin would control the relay?
Any output pin can be used to control a relay. I have a mosfet relay/24v solenoid on my spindle run/output 3 pin so I can turn an air nozzle on/off with the spindle. Somebody who uses Estlcam with a laser should be able to help with the on/off at the start/end of a cut bit.
