EstlCAM 12 and Arduino Mega - board programming freeze

Hello,

I have some troubles to program Arduino Mega (not clone) with Estlcam 12. I was using v11 before and now I wanted to upgrade.

Programming freezes on 93% progress.
I have tried:

  • board with and without external power - no change
  • change USB port - no change
  • change USB cable - no change
  • restart computer (windows 11) - no change
  • disconnect grounds of motors and inputs from board - no change
  • reprogram board with Estlcam v11 - it works!
  • program different board: Arduino UNO - it works!
I’m out of ideas of what to try next. Can someone help?

I know this isn’t helpful, but it works for me without any problems. :pensive:

Someone on Facebook is having the same problem so it could be a new issue (e.g. v12.1 “Support for new hardware”) and an older version may be worth a try (Estlcam: 2D / 3D CAM und CNC Steuerung...).

I use v11 and v12 (same firmware) with my Nano and both work fine (no reprogramming needed). Have you tried using the v12 controller after successfully programming the board with v11?

Yes, I have tried it. V12 won’t recognize board programmed by v11. I will try previous build od v12. Good idea, thanks for link.

Fixed in Version 12.102
“Bugfix Programming Problem Arduino Mega since version 12.100”

Dave, do you have access to the change log?

In German: Estlcam: 2D / 3D CAM und CNC Steuerung...

Thanks Philipp, I knew it must be somewhere. :+1:

The page restricts pages based on your location settings and language of browser automatically, on the German page you also have a link… :slightly_smiling_face:

I managed to open it and translate. I use a VPN that is based in Japan, although I am in Australia. Works fine and I have printed it out and saved the URL for future use.
