i updated firmware to 3.9.9 v1 on esp plugged it back into board

now i get this error in mill mage things we things were working fine prior to update

im lost on this one

UPDATE : i put my other esp back in which is still on firmware it was shipped with and everything works fine again

Replace $HZ (Home Z) with just $HZ. I don’t think you can include comments on lines with $ commands.

I just checked some of my old posts that had screenshots of my settings

back in sep 25 in the millmage quickstart post the (home Z) is there , and ive not had this error before

is this something that has been changed as fluid nc has updated firmware ?

as it doesn’t error in the old firmware 3.9.1

I don’t recall any related changes but I know if I enter a $ command with a comment in a terminal, I get that error 3.

was that on an older version of fluid nc also that you got the error

ill swap back to the esp with 3.9.9 and remove (home z )

and see what happens

Hmm, I get the error on 4.0.2 but not 3.9.5.

def random , i get error on 3.9.9, but not 3.9.1

Yea something changed between 3.9.1 and 3.9.5. I’d just get rid of the comment and call it a day.
