Dutch Lowrider V4 build near Nijmegen

That’s a good advice. Very possible for the 3mm fault. Thank you!

There is a belt calibration section in the LR4 instructions now, but that is no where near 20mm.

Maybe you selected to cut on the wrong side of the line, or you just entered the wrong value in the calculator.

That is of course very possible. Still figuring out Estlcam.

This saturday well spend by first letting the LR pre-drill a few (nearly 200) holes in the table. Then my youngest girl helped me with hammering in 198 impactnuts.

When we were finished, the bottom looked like this;

Flipped it over and screwed it back in place;

Then screwed the wasteboards back in place and the machine again was asked to make 198 holes.

After that, it was time to make a reward for the help I got. I found the tutorial from Estlcam a nice idea for that.

Having a fun helper around for stuff like that is the best thing ever!

Hi there,

I wanted to show you all one of my first “real” projects; I’m working in the diary industry (cheese production) and a colleague of me retired. Other colleagues of me knew that I was building the LowRider and asked me to make a custom “Cheese board” (don’t know if there is a proper English translation). It’s a plank that is going to be filled with cheeses.

I first cut the text and images with a V-bit. Then filled the cuts with black paint;

When the paint was dry, I surfaced the intire plank with a dovetail bit;

I’m very happy with the result, and the colleagues were impressed :smiley:

On another note; I finished the table build so it now can be stowed onto my garage wall;

Saves a lot of space in my garage (and my girlfriend is also happy now there is more space again :wink: )

I now have to make some brackets where I can put the gantry onto (below the table).

That cheese board came out great! And the folding table looks awesome as well!

Sure, no problem. Something specific you want to know?

Here is my initial idea in fusion (with movable joints);

Lowrider V4 table.zip (662.1 KB)

Here is my wall brace (in inventor, if you need another file format let me know);

LowRider muurbeugel.zip (82.4 KB)

The hook on the top of the wall (modified it a bit manually, i have drawn the modification in the last sketch, but not cut it away in the digital file);

MuurHevel_vs2.zip (106.1 KB)

I’ve put a power supply plug fixed on the side and a socket on the dragchain for easy removal when I want to stow the lowrider;

Let me know if you need anything else.

Ohw, and this is the part I attached to the table. Used some scrap pieces of the lowrider tube (160mm) between these parts;
