hey, getting to the end of my build and looking at firmware, what version if recommended for 32nd stepping, 16 Tooth Pulleys and 8mm threaded rod not 5/16″. What is the difference in the code for 8mm vs 5/16"
hows the beta looking is it best to just jump on that???

yup use the beta, you just need to change the z axis steps per mm.
hey vicious1 thanks for the reply, new to all this… assuming I’m changing line #define DEFAULT_AXIS_STEPS_PER_UNIT {200,200,4535.44,200} // default steps per unit for Ultimaker
did a quick calc via http://prusaprinters.org/calculator/ punched in the details of the 5/16 rod and got 4535.44 (same as beta firmware), then changed to 8mm rod and got 5120.00, is this the value I go with???
