The drag knife does some weird things in the corners, but overall, pretty good.
This is actually my second test crown print. My first just scratched the vinyl without cutting through, the drag knife wasn’t set to cut quite deep enough.
You can see a bit of trouble in the left side opening where I didn’t quite complete the cut, and a couple of the small “leaves” didn’t want to stay put while I was weeding the vinyl, but on the whole, I’ll call it a success.
Fun with vinyl. I had a slight mishap with the “e” in “kendo” it accidentally touched the wring spot from the transfer tape, and I didn’t get it in quite the right place after. I’ll re-do it in the future.
The blue chibi kendo guys were a royalnpain to weed, because they were all overcut to get sharp corners, and because of the nature of the drag knife being a little behind it’s nominal XY position. I have it tuned almost right now, I figure that if I can weed those tiny details, it’s good enough for the girls I go with…
