When I pull up the xloader it automatically has com5 in the com line and this last time I tried it had three selections but all was com5 when I hit the drop down.
You did not let estlcam try to reflash your board did you???
Riley, that is the original cause, yes.
Ohhh. So i read somewhere thst estlcam can brick anything but a real arduino. Unfortunately it may not be able to be saved
No, it should be fine. This used to happen all the time. Getting a bit more rare these days.
I did what you suggested i.e. reboot the computer, download the arduino IDE along with everything it included, the board has been plugged up to the power supply the entire time and using the USB cable you sent with the kit, then I pulled up the xloader and it still said com5 with no other option in the drop down and I even went to the device manager and it also shows com5 as my port.
So I guess my only choice left is to send it back to you, is there any advice to disconnecting the board so I don’t discharge any stored electricity and short out the board or anything?
You might want to try platform.io, it isn’t that bad.
Are you using an actual computer or some sort of tablet?
If you want to send it, just unplug it and put it back in its back and box before shipping, nothing special there. Don’t forget the return label.
The link is platformio
So its not gonna try to short out when I start disconnecting the power supply?
If you unplug the power supply from the wall, it will be fine to remove any of the wires.
Ok I know the power supply sometimes stores a little power inside so I didn’t want to short anything out.
Good evening, what is the address to send this board to?
It is on the label on your box. Or on the bottom of this page, Refund, Privacy, and TOS statements, Contact – V1 Engineering Inc
Best to ship it priority to get that insurance and tracking.
Board flashed just fine. Sending it back ASAP.
Thank you so much.
