CCJ...april challenge

Do spring cleaning and shop organization projects count for this challenge?

Spent bunch of time last year unfluffing my making area where I do CNC, Printing and other stuff. Am currently doing a spring cleaning refresh, including some updates to my label/container setup.

Happy to share before/after photos and video if that fits. If not, maybe I and others should share spring cleaning / organizing ideas over in the https://forum.v1e.com/t/lets-see-your-shop/23204 thread instead?

Fair enough  In that case, my April entry will be my latest Weed Muncher, a CNC inspired, CNC’d/Printed contraption for relocating Spring yard weeds, with optional pest and neighbor deterrence.

That’s looking much more refined from the last time you posted about it.

I’m helping some buddies build the first roped rock climbing gym in Fort Wayne. The SBA is still reviewing our plans but the local bank said we have a good shot at approval and the funding is secured. We recently choose our name and I wanted to celebrate a little bit. Since Easter just happened, what better way than an egg hunt!

I used my recently built egg bot to make few “golden eggs” (after emptying the contents of the egg) with vouchers for a free T-shirt, free day passes, and 30% off a new pair of rock climbing shoes.

I also stapled on a decorative ring to another 20 cardboard eggs and hid then throughout Fort Wayne and 2 near my family in Kentucky.

Here’s the treasure map if you want to go hunting!

So not an involved CNC project but it was inspired and enabled by the people here whom I adore.

Happy Easter!

I forgot to take a picture of the finished product, but it’s a charcuterie board in the form of a dick. It qualifies for Easter because of the balls (also called “Eier (eggs)” in German…)

THIS IS NSFW for Americans, so clicking the spoiler is on you!

Table top 2 player arcade for joust on the apple ][ emulator.

New top cutout because i messed up the previous one.

Wiring is not yet pretty, but will get there.

Two pieces are held together with 4.5” 3/8” (112 mm long m8) bolts.

Previously cut part is the bottom part now. Button colors dont match because it is a hybrid of 2 different kits.

Still working on final details such as art, wire beautification, various other securements, and button calibration.

1/2” ply 2 pass at 6.5 mm with 1/8” 2 flute upcut at 1200 mm/min.
