I’m finally getting around to putting the Jackpot controller onto my K40 laser. As folks may know, these are kind of notorious for not having any safety features. I added a microswitch to the door and wired it as NC in the laser arming circuit to disable the laser if the door gets opened. This is inline with a locking push-button “laser enable” switch on the control panel which has to be engaged for the laser to fire. Could I use the other contact on that same switch to function as a job pause connected to the Jackpot? I don’ think I want to just wire the existing switch connections because then that Enable button would also act as a pause switch, and I don’t think that’s what I want.
Wire that as a "Safety door’ in your FluidNC config.yaml.
