Using the new Freecad skills to adapt one of the “farm” printers to a kobra 2 hotend setup - kind a voron-ish with what looks like a volcano heater block that I picked up for a song. The plate should be made out of aluminum, so it will be a cnc piece, but the CAD prototype is printed PLA…. so using the 3d printer to verify the aluminum layout before cnc cutting to improve the 3d printer.

I am still in wonder that we can go from thought to prototype in less than an hour.

yes it will have nylon wheels for now and will likely hang it off a linear rail in the end as a backup for one of the v5’s when the h2v2s lite parts get scarce.

I can’t believe they want $90 for one of the flat cables to this thing. The plan is to google the pinout and make some dupont connections for it.

I hope that never goes away.

and it costs like $0.15

I giggle like a little kid when making something that nobody else has ever made before and when making adapters to use things for unintended purposes. So fun!

Looks good enough to cut out of aluminum now. Had to change dimensions 4 times but it was easy enough. That motor is offset to the left and the fan is offset to the right, which that threw a wrench in it.
