Looks like there might be a new CNC board out on the market? I use BigtreeTech quite often for 3D printers. This one says it runs FluidCNC. Any thoughts?
From personal experience, BTT support sucks large…
And as noted in the linked thread, they are not supporting the FluidNC project in any way.
They’ll now never sell one to me.
This topic seems like a dupe of https://forum.v1e.com/t/biqu-rodent-the-fluidnc-board/46087 to me? Consider closing?
Yes, there’s three. I’ll go close the one I created.
Edit- I cant close it. I did note it’s a duplicate.
It said on the main advertisement it supports FluidNC? Where did you see it was not supported? just curious… Thanks Jason.
The board supports FluidNC as the firmware.
He’s meaning that there is no indication yet that BTT will support the FluidNC developers.
They were not aware of this board, were not contacted about it, and as of now, have not received any donations from BTT.
For the FluidNC developers, this potentially means an influx of new users with support questions, about a board they know nothing about, and aren’t being paid to support.
And BTT is notoriously silent when you go to them with support questions, so it will almost certainly fall back on the community.
Gotcha… Thanks for the clarification…
I have not yet tried Fluid NC. Thinking about getting Ryan’s board, but last I checked it was out of stock. I want to build the Pendant, but I think I need to change boards for that.
In stock
Yes, you need a FluidNC board like the Jackpot for the FluidDial pendant to work
