This is probably a basic question, but for some reason I just can’t get my head wrapped around the FluidNC dashboard and how to edit the config.yaml file.
Specifically I wanted set a GPIO pin to the AutoSpin T1 spindle for the on/off setup and to set up the power curve.
Also, it looks like there is pretty good adaptability in control and design of the Web UI. Where can I find the files to edit these settings and web UI? Didn’t think I would hit a road block so quickly moving over to the software side….
Also seem to be leaving the yellow brick road at this point because I only have Macs, and plan on embracing the Freecad system for CAD and CAM.
I am running a bone stock Jackpot 3 with @vicious1 default webui. Really haven’t done a thing with it yet except jog the motors to ensure everything is set up right.
That being said, I wouldn’t mind updating the dashboard.
On another note, I also really like your FluidTouch interface. However I have an unused Android tablet just laying here that I would love to use as a control interface. I forked your fluidtouch git yesterday and trying to grasp how hard it would be to convert it to a docker container or as a Home Assistant Add-on. Since my server is always on that could do all of the web offloading and be used on anything.
The short answer is to go here. You can control which panels are displayed and in what order.
You can add themes and extensions. For example, I made one that pops up a dialog when a pause happens and another for touch joystick jogging.
That doesn’t make sense at all. That’s designed for C that runs on an ESP32. I’m not aware of what you are suggesting being remotely feasible. I have messed with a web design for this but it’s a complete rewrite.
Also, that sounds like a lot of work when you can just buy a $35 display to use as intended.
All very true, I was more looking over the settings, websocket invocations, etc. Yeah it would be a complete rewrite in python.
It would be 100 times easier to get the Elecrow screen (and I probably still will). But for some reason I have it in my head that it would be amazing to have informatics and control straight from Home Assistant as well.
