And so it begins :)

Nothing better than re-using materials with a story. That’s going to be a special machine.

Ugh, loctite blue is the gift that keeps on giving

Stripped the little grub screw and it’s almost impossible to get off, printing a gear puller

Thanks Primo, you served me well :face_holding_back_tears:

Yep, they make Locktite purple which is the supposed right one for these. Blue might as well be locktite white for these. At least it wasn’t going to slip.

Purple would definitely have been the right move, I only recently learned about that flavor though, only knew about blue and red. Ah well, live and learn

I’ll have one of these in about six minutes, hopefully it does the trick

Already tried heat and wd40? ChatGPT - Removing Stubborn Grub Screw

Yeah heat eventually did the trick, still very difficult to remove.

No lie, after seeing someone post up prints from the Bambu Lab printer, I just had to get one! This thing prints beautifully, and in multicolor!

My P1S was a game changer, even though I always got great prints from my Ender they took soooo long that it was a roadblock to iterating on designs so I’d always find myself weighing if it was worth the time. The P1S prints flawlessly at much higher speeds, super fun and highly recommended.

I totally agree. I’ve always spent a lot of time adjusting the Ender, and you really do need to check the first layer each time to make sure it’s going well.

Bit of an issue with the hidden nut today, it slipped while tightening it up, and because it’s hidden had to saw the wheel piece apart to get it out! Gah!

!
!

The other side seemed okay when I tested it not blind, but will make sure there’s no play in it next time. Measured the nut to be 7.8, and the spot for the nut looked to be about 7.95.

Hmmmmmm. That is the second time we have heard that.

I will start with changing the instructions to make sure that screw and nut gets pre-threaded beforehand to make sure it is not super tight. If it keeps happening, I can do a re-design.

Mine was printed on my X1 C using the hardened steel 0.6 nozzle and PLA CF. I also used their textured PEI Plate and love the finished prints…

Just finished my boxes for the Y Rails and then it’s of to my HS stage to bootstrap the struts for a portable full sheet table.

My wife will be happy to get the living room back:rofl::sunglasses:

Looks great.

Behold all you first time builders - THAT is how you do a table.
Slap a spoil board on there and away you go

Probably move it out of the living room for your first cuts if you don’t want bludgeoned to death with the vacuum cleaner by your domestic partner.

Surprisingly… She’s great about that kind of stuff! married 34 years together 37. She’s always supported my “livingroom builds” from a VW Bug motor and computerized telescope mount in our apartment to full lighting rigs in or home’s living room… Now this! A nice sushi dinner at the end of the week is certainly the least I’ll do:sunglasses::wink:

I did one of those in the dining room, many years ago. It was a tiny little apartment so I could clean the mess up off the linoleum easier! Ahhhh the memories!

I assume that’s why she lets him paint in the kitchen! :paintbrush: :fondue:

That looks great. Are both sides the same height? They look different in the picture.

Pretty sure this is why the wife locks me in the basement now a days, something about starting multiple projects in the living space makes it “unappealing” lol
