They go on eiter side of a mantel clock. I had a picture of one and could never get it modeled.
It took about 20 min and 50 cents of tokens to generate this and I am going to cut them tomarrow.the clock is a little over 100 year old and belonged to my great grandparents.
The things we can do with the new software is truly marvelous.
I’ve been a Vectric user for a few years and it fits in with vcarve and aspire but is separate and 20 bucks for 200 credits so I gave it a shot I am impressed. It also filled a gap in my design skills. Any one else using anything similar?
I like the idea of restoring a 100 years old piece of hardware using AI, there’s a kind of poetry to this.
Maybe a dedicated software dedicated to “tracing” would’ve done the same, but as you said, AI will let you do that without any specific software skill
As for other usages, I recently used ai to find the best sheet number and arrangement to fit m’y model, and it worked great : Cat hut for winter - #12 by Fabien
I tried inkscape and the vcarve trace also coral draw but it would not do the stipulated patterns in the voids or the rounded swirled areas. They gave svg detailed but not 3D rendering. The original was done with molds and steam pressing to give a true 3D. I could not get this from GIMP or other freeware.
This and probably other AI did it in seconds very humbling
It can create depth maps for lasering but also 3d models from images. You only get so many credits per day on a free account but for infrequent use it is fine.
