Thank you for the help in this thread @jeffeb3 , @jamiek , and @vicious1, I really appreciate it. I figured it all out in hardware, electronics, and firmware. It’s now a fully functioning REAL 4th axis setup!!! Hopefully I can write something up about that too at some point.
Because I think it’s a pretty different topic I posted the documentation for my original rotary axis setup in a new thread.
