@MakerJim Suggested moving the 5V CYD pendant to 24V (Vmot input voltage), Jackpot 3 RJ11 crash - #27 by MakerJim. This lets you use a longer cable on the pendant, and will take some strain off the 5v Regulator.

I added the 5-30V to 5V module to the shop, 5V-30V to 5V DC step down – V1 Engineering Inc

It is very easy to add. Just move the 5V and ground to the output and run a Ground and the 12V from the rj11 break out.

Yep, that’s the way you do it!

I put a bit of Kapton on the backside to make it less likely to short to anything. Am debating a drop of hot glue or epoxy to stick the converter down to the base of the enclosure.

I’d make clear it’s VMOT as that converter is compatible with the whole 9-29V range of the Jackpot.

Yeah I took for granted that I used solid core wire and it just stays were I put it very well.
