I am building a Lowrider standard size 4 x 8. I am in the process of putting together the gantry and I’m wondering why the trigger is so far away from the end stop?
I thought I saw somewhere on printable. There was an extended stop holder. I can’t seem to find it now ,Did I put this together wrong?
There is something incorrect about the way that you built it. The XZ plate should go about another 20mm from where it is.
Is the plate all the way at the top of the threaded lead screw? Can you post a picture of the other side of the same XZ plate (showing the lead screw and the lead screw stub).?
Which stops are you referring to? Cause it looks fine, some linear rails have little rubber stops to stop the carriage from sliding off during shipping. Those as far as I’m aware come off after install, or just before. Could you post one referring to what you believe is stopping it?
Edit:
Looking at the first picture, that looks like a clear rubber stop on the bottom screw hole on the linear rails, I’m guessing one is at the top screw hole as well. Which tells me you probably won’t get full motion at the bottom either (assuming you don’t bottom out with the core.
Remove the rubber stops and put your bolts(screws) in those holes, bet you’ll get the proper motion afterwards
2nd edit:
The plates have a notch at the top to stop the carriage from coming up as well so don’t worry to much about it coming off once those stoppers are removed
