Z axis motor brackets not level

Hey I found this post super useful for aligning my machine and getting my crown to look way better. I hope this isn’t considered spam, but I did a few vids on instagram that might help other people with the same struggles as I (and apparently Chad) had.

if that doesn’t link right, just look up Pottage Sawmill on Instagram.

Finally, please point out if I misspoke. I don’t want others to follow my mistakes, I just want others to not struggle with my own mistakes. And I know my pen holder device looks like garbage! But it works!

Thanks

Dan

Oh careful.

While most can fall on there own it is a horrible idea to let it happen, you will break the corner pieces. You should end your gcode where you started at the bottom or manually park it.

The notches are here, make sure your corners are not upside down.

I agree with the nut being loose, and the equidistant corners, it is in the instructions.

Well dammit.

I mean thank you. I think I need to flip two of my corners. And got it, I won’t allow the z axis to fall on its own.

Thanks!

Huh. I have a measily LR1, old school. But I let mine drop each time when I’m done with it. I guess I should stop doing that…

Jeez Louise!

I mean, if we can’t be mean to robots, who can I be mean to?

SHHHHH, they are listening!

All my robots get treated with the utmost respect, I never “torture” test anything, I just make mistakes and take note if they happen to survive, always do routine maintenance ahead of schedule, highest quality lube (never what ever happens to be sitting on the shelf nearest me at the time)… :stuck_out_tongue:

I have an ex girlfriend you could practice on!!!
