Current State:
Running SKR Pro board with the touch screen/marlin mode display.
X & Y working great, homing and doing all the “things”.
Tripping each endstop manually and running M119 shows the correct endstop triggered/reset
I have Z-probe hooked up and triggering manually, M119 shows triggered/reset as appropriate
Moving Z+ causes gantry to move up as expected
Moving Z- causes gantry to move down as expected
If I click Home X or Home Y, gantry moves Z down so far it tries to tear itself apart
If I click Bed Leveling gantry moves up and homes against both the top Z endstops, backs off and hits them again gently. Then the gantry moves down so far it tries to tear itself apart.
When I first boot the controller it always thinks it’s at Z +200, I suspect this has something to do with my issues but not sure.
Because it is set up for a touch plate it has to home to z max. Ryan has set it to 200 because it’s more than you will ever need.
Go to touch mode then move axis. In there you will see home. Click that and you will get buttons to home all home x home y home z. Try hitting home z. It should go up and hit the endstops. Then if you hit home x that should move and hit the endstops. Then home y should bring the whole machine to the endstops.
Bed leveling isn’t a feature we use. It is there because it proved to be too much to take care of trying to remove it all and keep up with future updates and keep everything working. We just ignore the unused 3D printer functions.
Hopefully I remembered all of this correctly. Been a little while since I was running an skr board
