Thank you Ryan for all the work you’ve done on this! I can see the evolution of the design over the years and I’m excited to get my very first CNC up and running.
Coming from the world of Discord and bespoke 3d printers, this is new to me, communicating exclusively through Discourse and working without a full CAD model. But without the CAD model, I’ve hit a snag.
AFAICT, the docs don’t mention how to mount the controller box and the “temp strut” stl does not have any mounting holes for the SKR Pro enclosure. From the build photos in the docs, it appears there is another temporary strut with screw holes, as seen here:
Where can I find the stl for this? (I don’t see it in the docs, and sarching the forum turned up nothing.) I assume the controller mounting instructions being absent from the docs is merely an oversight.
Ryan is still hard at work on the docs so there are things still changing there. I know I have been suggesting to just set the controller box on the temp strut and run a zip tie around it. Its really only there for one cut then you replace it with the real strut and can mount it with screws through the strut. Don’t overthink it
