Fired up the board after it’s been idle since Sept. 24. Worked fine then. Today, homed Y and Y0 stepper moves at 1/2 the speed of Y1. Looked at config.yaml and both motors are set up the same. Power to each appears to be good…at a loss as to why.
If it worked correctly before, it’s probably a loose connection somewhere or loose grub screws.
You’ve measured that it is moving at half speed, or it’s lagging (could be not powered/not working stepper).
Can you post the output from the terminal of $SS? Curious what is happening on startup.
Any chance the config.yaml could have gotten edited and a stray trailing space added at the end of a line? I had a trailing space in mine, and it caused exactly this type of behavior: one stepper was moving at about half the speed rate of the other one on the same axis.
Spent a few hours troubleshooting…config.yaml looked fine. After 2 hours I just flashed the unit, upgraded the firmware and re-writing config.yaml. seemed to work. homed fine on all axis. still having touble with wifi connection. Checked square again (off by 1.6mm). Adjusted config and re-loaded. rebooted but now can’t connect to fluidnc…frustrating!
Upload your config.yaml here. You can put it in a zip file. If you uploaded it manually, it is very sensitive to spacing as @DougJoseph mentioned.
Can we see a picture of your Jackpot as it sits wired up please.
Got it working…had to completely redo config.yaml for some reason. Once I did I could connect and move as expected.
