Ok, guys, I just installed the struts, and now my y plate that’s not on the conduit is at a bad angle. I checked that all the screws connecting the metal plate were tight, but that still did not fix the problem. Any ideas?
When this happened to me it was because the lower conduit on the X axis was touching the aluminum plates. I removed the conduit and ground off a couple of millimeters so it wouldn’t touch on either end and that fixed the problem for me.

The X axis tubes should all be slightly inset into the end braces on either side. If not, you will get notable toe in/out errors or other misalignment.
Exactly.
Thank you so much! I cut down the tube, and now everything is working great!
Ok, guys, turns out even after that it’s still on a slight angle (about an 1/8in closer on the right side), albeit less than it was. Do you guys think it matters?
Its about an 1/8th inch longer on the front, how can I fix that? I already tried the endstops and the struts.
You are 100% sure your pipes aren’t touching the XZ plates on either side?
Did you measure your struts and make sure they are both the same length?
Yep, turns out the X beam had some flex in it that was exaggerated by the Y min and max having slightly (sub 5mm) different endstop locations.
You can also try “twisting” the beam by grabbing it and rotating it to the front. Be careful not to break anything though.
Yeah, I got it fixed by moving the pipe. Sadly, I have no idea if the problem was that, a loose bolt, or the homing for the y-axis. Though I do have to say thanks to everyone for helping me out with this!
Once you get through the squaring process then once you home it should be dead on straight even though your mounts are a touch off
Got it! Thanks for your help!
