I am a hobbyist with meduim CAD exprience with advance electronics background - I joined V1 Engineering for the opportunity I got to build their CNC machine from LR2 now LR4 to express my ideas and they deserve all the credit for my creation.
I had to build this because I got into trouble with my wife on spending too much on my FPV drone so during winter I use my FPV gear to plow the driveway sitting in my living room
I had the same question. Based on the second video, my guess is the front two wheels are driven and they rest are not. But it may just be the balance of weight. Skid steer is difficult to model.
I’m also curious how deep of snow it can handle, and if the strategy worked with the wife.
If we never hear back, I guess the wife didn’t approve.
Hope we do hear back from @spinorose, he has a great video walking through parts used for his chain+sprocket 6 AWD setup driven by 2 wheel chair motors
Heck no! We helped you make a tool, you dreamed up and brought your ideas to life all by yourself.
This whole CNC thing really started for me when I won a bearing design competition. My closest competitor was an RC snowplow just like this. The memories your pictures stirred up are amazing. How I felt about all this then compared to now…wow, what a rush. Thank you so much for sharing. Another cool fact is the HackSmith won the competition the year before I did.
