Windows Computer Instead of RasPi

For those that are not aware the folks at DietPi are not too keen on the folks at OrangePi… something, I gather, to do with software support for their OrangePi products… anyway’s… I have just found that the DietPi image for the NanoPi works for the origonal OrangePi Zero (not the OrangePiZero 2), those are available for around $24. It seems to work ok, even the 256Mb version although I don’t use a camera.

The DietPi image makes Octoprint install a comparative breeze - download the DietPi image, flash it to a 8+gb microsd card, fit it in the pi, do all the usual admin stuff (password change and stuff) by ssh or a serial to usb adapter connected to the debug pins and select Octoprint from the software list and it installs it for you. SSH login ( via PuTTy for example) is root with dietpi as the default password. Just about easier than wrestling with Windows!
