Who's looking for a New CNC Project?

Is that the chair you designed?

Just got my plywood today! Went with sandeply! Core looked the best out of it all!

yeah I sent two over there.

Oh wow, you made 3 and I just bought plywood! I am slacking!

Did you go?

No just those two for now.

I went early Thursday on setup day, the rest of Makgood did not make it until much later. I am going tomorrow to see how the public reacts and see some of the printed ones in real life for the first time!

So far everyone has liked it here. And several have asked about flat pack kits to build them. Even had one V1 user stop by as well!

I guess I did not think about flatpack! Wonder how they would use it personally or corporate

Wow schoolhouse put up quite the display!!!

Wow this thing is so fun and I barely use it!!!

Yes @RockinRiley I did go by and talk to Polar Filament lol. It sounds as if they are going to hook us up with a discount code!

I noticed they got expensive, no one is going to beat schoolhouse though!

Okay so I went to the one is Vallejo, it was so awesome to walk into the show hall and immediately almost get taken out by a little dude rolling around in my purple build. There was a pretty big team of people there with MakeGood and they all stayed very busy answering questions. I heard a few people wanting to buy build kits on the spot so they could start making them.

A few observations.

There needs to be TPU bumpers here. I don’t think they need to be very large; I bet even a few layers would do just fine. The kids would sort of move things with the nose of the chairs instead of their hands. The purple one had a few chips in it.

The kids who were comfortable in the chairs used a lot of the wheels, there arms came way up front (yellow). But they did keep putting their water bottles right by their heels. This is a perfect cup holder spot for those that do not use a harness.

So should I wait on the rest of the cuts? I think those are great ideas. What about makin the cuts so that the Sides do not have that pocket but follow where you say they are putting there hands?

Something like the black line

@vicious1 I love this mini chair, any chance we can make a mini chair in CNC. I have some 1/8 underlayment here, way more than enough for that lil guy

No, Just keep going.

No the arms clear just fine but not if we add anything there.

The CAD might work going down pretty small if you adjust a lot of the parameters, ABC, thickness, wheels sizes and height.

Finally getting started on mine! Got the cushions done at least. Hopefully get the parts cut out tomorrow!

oh look at you 2 at once, I did seperate, show off.

I took the afternoon off. I felt so accomplished just getting it together. Now I need to take it apart and sand it nice!

I thought I put it out here, but I guess I did not.

Ive printed quite a few TPU cushions so far, so not at all out of the norm for me to print 2 at the same time

Your chair looks great! Cant wait to see it finished!
