O am planning to build a wall mounted glue up rack along the lines of this one:
The idea is to fix metal rails on the wall and 3d print a sliding attachment for the clamps (one for each clamp so that I can basically adapt the clamping width to the piece).

What do you suggest to use PLA or PETG or eventually PETG-CF?
On the other hand, my insulated garage in Arizona, I’ve seen failures long term hanging items with PLA fixtures over a year (slow bending, followed by failure). If you’re just temporarily hanging projects for clamping PLA is fine.
That is called creep, the kryponite of PLA. PETG is too flexible.
I agree, PET is probably the easiest to print - creep and heat resistance you are going to get. I have had a lot of success with PC blends, but they aren’t beginner friendly and you need an enclosed printer.
That being said, is 3d printing the answer? If you are going hang something like that, you could use unistrut and get some bearing based trollies that ride along the inside with some eye bolts to hand whatever.
I am still working on it. From a filament perspective I decided to do with ABS as my P2S supports it even if I am still struggling with corners warping.
