Can 8mm ID wheel spacers be a 3D printed part (PC or PETG)?
Or is not a good idea.

I don’t see why not.
Agreed, should work, a metal one should hold up better over time though.
Sounds good. Guess I can simply print a shortened down version of LM8UU bearing like this one: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:102482
No there is not room for all of that and it does not need to spin/move. The bearing lip is only 2mm, so no room to get out any material, you do not want to hit the rubber shield.
Got it. Thanks Ryan, I’ll go with aluminum spacers per original BOM.
Ryan, one more question.
When I put together wheels, aluminum spacers are longer than space between the bearings if they are inserted all the way into the wheels.
As a result there’s a possibility that wheels can slide up and down bearing assembly if there’s enough force applied, is this OK or maybe I should trim spacers to a shorter length???
Try it as is, if you notice a problem cut them down.
My guess, no issues at all.
