What Rail Diameters are available near you, outside the US?

I will have to double check.

Cheaper and better, I always need metal so delivery can be free too. Thank you, I’ve not used this place before.

Here in the Philippines, I purchased 1" RSC electrical conduit. It’s 33.3 mm. I modified the braces to get them to fit.

I went to my local ace hardware in bc Canada and they had the 1” od conduit.

That might be problematic with the Y rail though.

Sorry my first post was misleading. Your right, I tried that and there’s no material left for the y bracket supports. I’m using 32.2mm for the Y-rail. But using 33.3mm for the x rails. There was not much left on the bottom x-support so I widened the area the bottom rail rides on to give it a little more strength.

I am still in the process of building this so let’s see how it goes.

This is also going to push the Y max side up since the rail can not go down.

Your brace parts will also have a lesser grip on the rail.

Unfortunately, I can not accommodate every rail size and there is always a trade-off.

Please do not publish your edited parts for others to use, as I feel it will compromise the machine enough to be noticeably detrimental.

Ah i noticed that too. i wanted the change to make as little or no impact as possible.

i made the adjustments to the xrail braces keeping the contact points of the bearings on the x carriage the same. i had to average the bearing contact points for the different size x rails and picked one in the middle.

the y rail config is standard.

In the UK, 20mm and 25mm are common for conduit, both stainless and galvanized. For the LR4 I just built I also managed to source 32mm from Rexel Metpro GC32 | 32mm Conduit Class 4 BSEN61386-1 3.75 Meter Length Galvanised Steel | Rexel UK

I made the max and min sizes it can handle, anything in between is fine, but above those bounds will cause issues somewhere.

I managed to find 1" IMC electrical conduit that is 30mm OD 1.9-2mm walls

Was looking to use 1" Schedule 40 stainless steel pipe which is ~33.4mm and slightly out of spec from the docs (32mm ±0.2mm). Fortunate to also have the correct size 1" EMT available locally. Any thoughts on the minor 33.4mm size discrepancy on the stainless pipe?

I would print a single strut and see if the pipe fits, Cinderella style.

I’m pretty sure 32mm OD is the absolute max that will work
