I hate that I have to write this but it seems Compass CNC is no longer a product or business.
The details and specifics are lacking and getting scattered. As so many of you have had questions for me about this I am going to try and keep a list of knows in one place.
4 - Buyers of the presale kits have been contacted with a statement, This is what it says, here.
5 - Refunds are being been given for the presale kits!!
6 - Some people have self sourced kits and still need help setting up and using them. So if you can help, please feel free to keep helping each other out.
I would guess that Cam was hit with a ‘cease and desist’ letter that gave him an ultimatum of take averything down or we’ll bankrupt you in court fees.
That may even have included a bonus non-disclosure agreement that you can’t tell anyone we’ve bullied you out of business as that would hurt our reputation!
This really pisses me off more than it should, I also said so in the other thread.
I never really invented something but I created things I am still proud of. It would hurt me a lot if I had to take all that offline, delete all the videos and pretend it never happened because some rich company bullied me out of the game.
@camchaney, can you sell what you have to another company with money that wants to take on Shaper?…
I did a patent search. That was interesting. It would be really interesting to see the letter, but I don’t think that is possible at this point. Having limited familiarity with such things, I am curious if the plaintiff attempted to do what the eleanor car crew did and confiscate everything that is allegedly a problem. They lost big time on that, but only long after the damage was done.
sorry to hear this is has gone down. Glad folks forked the repo before it was gone. I wonder if those users are next on the list.
I hate patent assholes so much. Founded an aerospace carbon fiber printing company and got hit with lots of these, luckily I had enough funding to keep the lawyers fed.

I apologize for the delay in order updates, but for better or worse everything is now concluded. In summation, Compass has discontinued selling its Compass CNC V1 Kit to amicably resolve a dispute with Shaper Tools regarding allegations of patent infringement.
Your order will be canceled, with a full refund being issued to your original payment method. Please allow around two weeks for this to process.
