Always keep a bucket of sawdust for oil spills.
Use a large amount as starter for wood stove. Made a small press to make small blocks of sawdust and a bit of diesel.
If clean/untreated sawdust, then, I use as mulch in areas grass/weeds are unwanted.
If you live near someone who owns or takes care of horses, a lot of them will come get the bags full from you to use in the stall as long as it is only wood dust.
I think I listed it once on Facebook marketplace for free and someone came. Sometimes there are people on there looking for it
You won’t have that problem if you hook the hose in the blower port instead of the vacuum port
I have a pile of sawdust and scrap wood at the edge of my property under a tree where it’s every so slowly dissolving into the ground.

I’m a bit of a naysayer on sawdust.
There’s a big difference between “dust” and “chips” so be careful with that, dust can be pretty ugly until wet through - similarly as a garden mulch it can be great on top of the soil, but uses a lot of nitrogen in breaking down, so if you are growing stuff in it, mix a nitrogen rich fertiliser in with it (like chook poo).
My previous efforts in coming up with a brick-making machine came to nought when I realised just how much effort and cost it would take to produce enough briquettes to have a barbecue!
These days, it just goes in my green waste bin - very much against our council regulations but it ends up in a giant wood chipper and magically dispersed among its larger friends!
There is also the issue with glues/resins (in multiplex, hardboard, softboard, …) so green waste bin or mulching is a no go for that.
I put the wood chips from the chicken coop on top of the saw dust.
The one thing I haven’t done is tried turning the pile to see if there’s decent compost on the bottom. I should really do that at some point. The weeds grow up tall around the pile and hide it most of the year, so I never think about it. Looking across the yard from the house it just looks like more of the farm field behind it.
The idea that plywood and mdf sawdust are mixed in would keep me from using the compost on vegetable gardens, but it should be fine in the flower beds. The few times a year I bag the grass clippings I toss that out there too. The dog poo in that also keeps me from using it for vegetables.
Heh, my grandparents burned their trash, then when the ash pile got too big, my grandpa would plow it into the garden.
