This might be the most silly question ever asked here, but for some reason I can’t find an answer.
What is everyone using to attach their vacuum hose to the dust port? It’s sort of flat on one side, and I can’t for the life of me figure out what kind of adapter to use.

Take off the plastic end and just cram the flexible hose on there. It is designed that way to save a little space and keep tension on variable hose sizes.
What diameter flex hose did you have in mind in the design?
1 1/4" From what I can tell that is shop vac standard for tools. The two hose I bought fit that, and came with adapters as well.

Not a silly question at all—dust ports can be oddly shaped and rarely match hose sizes perfectly. Most people end up using a universal rubber or stepped adapter that can be trimmed down to fit, or they 3D-print a custom adapter if they want a snug fit (https;//aerocomfittings,com/categories/adapters). Another simple solution is wrapping the port with a bit of duct tape or using a rubber coupler to bridge the gap, which works surprisingly well until you find a dedicated fitting that matches your hose and dust port
