US rail 1" emt

I am in the US and building a LowRider V4. I can buy 1" EMT conduit but what is the 3D printed brace size do I need to use?
This is what it says:
" Rails (LowRider CNC V4 - V1 Engineering Documentation)

You are looking for either 29.5mm, 30mm, or 32mm Outside Dimension steel tubes. In the U.S. and parts of Canada this will be 1” EMT Conduit, off the shelf hardware store conduit (not “rigid” conduit). In other countries if you use metal conduit it same thing but you will either be 30mm or 32mm OD.

  • You want the right OD ±0.2mm.
  • At least 1.3mm thick wall.
  • Steel, Stainless Steel, DOM Steel (aluminum and carbon fiber will not work)

If your country does not use metal conduit things to look for are metal supply companies, closet rods, or boat suppliers tend to have stainless tubes.

Super thick walls, solid rods, and filled tubes will gain little to no rigidity and just add mass and cost."

Based on the printed parts in the store, it looks like you want 29.5mm.

29.5 is correct, what I did to be sure was I printed one y clip in each size and took them with me to the store to confirm which fit best before buying any EMT and before printing the size dependent parts
