Well maybe it is different for UK, but when I import parts for my printrbot to Belgium, I get something as 50% import tax. You pay those when you get your stuff from the counter. That is a real pain in the ass.
Ryan, maybe you should have someone assemble kits in Europe, and sell them over there, but I don’t know if it is worth the hassle.
Hi Folks. I’m planning to build a LowRider V4 here in the UK. I would like to buy the hardware kit and controller direct from V1E and whilst the shipping costs are clear and in the scheme of things not overly expensive it is not clear if additional import charges will be applied on entry to the UK.
Has any other UK builder had recent experience of purchasing goods directly from V1E?
Create a new topic and repost this. You will get a lot more feedback. Sorry, I don’t know the answer. I’m in the US. Very few people will look at your post to an 8 year old thread.
The price you are shown in the shop on ordering is the price you pay. Ryan now ships exclusively via DDP (Delivery Duty Paid) and DHL Express, so all the taxes have been paid already.
Definitely. The current kits are plug and play basically, with a little Lego for grownups in between.
The UK is in a shitty position because taxes from the EU are basically the same…
