Tubing wall options

So I am currently working on printing parts for my first build. I’m building the J set of parts and I’m trying to decide on some budget friendly tubing to go with. I have a local option for some 0.120 wall tube but it seems some say that’s too heavy. I’ve also been looking at some welded tubing. Is there a definitive guide to 1 inch tube some where. Or can someone give me some pros and cons of the options above? Ideally I would use a 0.065 wall DOM tube. But no one seems to have it locally and I’d like to avoid the shipping cost if possible.

Thanks!

I use 0.120 welded and it is beefy and cheap. The weight is not an issue for realistic cutting speeds. I don’t try to optimize speeds so I haven’t seen any downsides. It’s not especially humid here so I have minimal rust.

If I were to do it again I might go thinner 0.065 on the Z rails because the weight does cause it to drop when the motor is de-energized. I have been meaning to set up a spring or counter-weight but I haven’t gotten to it.
