This may fit other dust shoes, but I made it specifically to fit the V1 Makita Mount (48mm Hose) lower shoe. The ring pushes on, then you can slide the replaceable and trimmable bristles into place on the bottom channel.
I tested it when resurfacing my spoil board, and it was very effective. It lost a few bristles, but that’s an easy thing to reprint and have on hand.
Looks clever. And if it works for a given purpose you got a win.
@DougJoseph, It worked well for the spoilboard resurfacing. I would have happily used your remixed extended shoe, but you had not posted the 48mm hose variant at the time (and I didn’t think you would so damn fast haha). This is a little redundant, but thought I would share in the event anyone wanted to try it out.
I really like the thin printed bristles. Pushes the limit of what kind of clever things can be done with 3d printing!
