I built the LR3 a while back, which is still sufficient for my needs at the moment, I mounted the Makita 700 Series Mount and removable dust shoe for the LowRider 3 CNC (Makita 700 Series Mount and removable dust shoe for the LowRider 3 CNC by V1 Engineering | Download free STL model | Printables.com), which however does not have any chip containment brushes.
I printed the TPU Bristles 32mm that Ryan posted last November and which would be ideal for me

I would like to know if anyone has already made a modification to the file
makita-vac-lower.zip (155.8 KB) to be able to insert the TPU Bristles 32mm.
Any help would be appreciated
I have a remix that fits printed, flat bristles on Printables (bristles and modified version all there). The new version that Ryan made does not fit there.
The gaps in the bristles are where the Makita draws air so they don’t get sucked into the collet.

Thanks Philipp, a few months ago I have already downloaded and tried your solution, but I would prefer to find a solution with the new version that Ryan made.
In fact I made a small addition to use TPU bristles, I published it on Printables: Additional TPU bristles for LR3 Dust shoe by Paolo | Download free STL model | Printables.com. This solution has the advantage of not requiring changes to the original design, but has the defect of reducing the useful milling height.
That’s why I was asking if anyone has found a way to modify the original design. Unfortunately Ryan’s file is in 3MF format and with the SW at my disposal I can’t import it.

I’m pretty stubborn, so I found a way to remodel Ryan’s original design to fit the TPU brisles that were made for the LR4. Right now you’re all leaning towards the LR4 having better performance than the LR3, but for now I’m happy with the LR3, so I’m just looking to improve a few minor details.
