I have one of those pumps (Seitenkanalverdichter) as well. You can find pictures of my suction table in my Ghostrider thread. It works well through MDF, I cut the grid in plywood though as to not lose suction.
Here’s a video when it was still an MPCNC with a different base plate from MDF I sealed with watered down wood glue.
