I made this table and was about to build a torsion box but was wondering if I needed to do that. If I just add ribs to the center and add the wings on the outside would that be good? Or should I put a torsion box on top.

My first table just had a few ribs and an MDF sheet, it wasn’t really plain and warped over time. But for the beginning it works.

I have all the stuff to build a torsion box sitting Just wasn’t sure if it was going to add to what I already had. The MDF thats on there is just sitting for now.
If you have the capabilities to build one, do it.
You could turn that into a torsion box by adding a skin under the existing framing for the top, adding additional interior support ribs if you thought they were needed.
