I was thinking about saving a bit of cash and getting one of these Genmitsu 710W from Amazon. It is ER11 compatible and a good bit cheaper. Just curious if anyone has used one they appear to be well reviewed. and more designed for this purpose than the Makita RT0701C
They might work, but the runout might be worse etc. I haven’t seen it in any of the CNCs in this forum before and I’d advise for just getting the Makita. Can’t really go wrong with it. Wait a month longer if you have to I guess. Better buy once and buy quality. I only buy the cheap tools (Parkside from LIDL in Germany) when I am sure that I am going to use them once or twice a year and it does not matter whether they are really precise.
Hmm. I have never used that brand. It has good reviews and the ER11 compatibility is nice. If you do get it, please let us know how it works for you.
How has the Genmitsu router worked out so far?
I only ask because I just bought 2 of them.
Idk about that brand but if you purchased it at 95usd* and can take the trouble of returning them you can get the carbide er11 makita clone for 60usd. They come with 2 sets of brushes and 2 er11 collets: 1/8" and 1/4"
Sweet deal!
I can return 1, the other I threw the box away.
