That is the wrong ESP32. Our real ones do not hang ouver the edge.

Well, I was trying to make a mount arm system, but the YZ plates are hard to work with for the mounting systems on the top edges. Fusion 360 keeps crashing when I try to make stuff fit the contour. My closest was using TinkerCad making the YZ plate a negative, to subtract it from a block, but manipulating that isn’t easy either.

Still working on it.

I am taking a note to upload some blank step files for the top hole sets. Feel free to ping me if I do not get it done in a day or two.

I have had some success with importing the YZ plate’s mesh into fusion 360, and then using fusion 360’s mesh tool to reduce the polygon count of the mesh, and then convert it to a solid. That makes working with a decent approximation of the curves doable.

I did it with OnShape, that worked pretty well. For the core it didn’t.

I’d like to have an attachment for the drag chain like I had with the LR3 @DougJoseph cough.

This is hilarious… hint taken.

After the Kobalt compatible Kinematic mount though (with reduced hardware count like Jamie’s?), right?

I actually had already previously done the “reduce the polygon count, make a solid,” and then created a blank stub type part that can attach to the top of the new core using zip ties. However, it’s not yet in a shape to be usable. The angular shapes and flat spaces on the top of the Lowrider v3 core made it easy to match the styling. The top of the new core, being nothing but one continuous curve, makes it a little tougher to design something that looks cohesive and intentional. I’ll wack away at a little bit.

The holes themselves aren’t bad on the front. The back side is more difficult, and I kind of want some stuff there, too.

screenmount.zip (61.3 KB)

I did a little mount for M5 screw, 14mm across. This will work for the LCD case I did for the Primo, which I’m moving to the LR4.

What is that for??

Were these holes deprecated? This is the RC3 version that I have, and was hoping to use these.

Was hping for a step file, as meshes convert with all the triangles for the noncommercial Fusion license, but this is more usable than the whole mesh

It’s a template for using the mounting holes provided on the LR4 YZ plates. This makes designing accessories for hanging things onthe YZ plates easier. I’ll be putting an LCD controller on one, and was planning on a tool holder (Allen keys, wrench for the router, etc) on the XMax side. I hqve a temporary screen holder for now, but I want to have a better one later. Currently the screen sits with a tilt, since I didn’t have a good level reference when doing the CAD for it. I could have done better with better tools, but for now, it works.

Thanks!!!

These are still there on the release, the negative doesn’t have them @vicious1 .

Whoops, the feature was there but it was marked not to cut the model…

New parts uploaded.

Anyone done a one piece YZ peter plate?

I think I am the only one that has made a peter plate…hmm Maybe JJ made one as well. So nope, no one piece.
