My first Primo project (other than the spoilboard).
My oldest has just started school and the wife suggested I make a pencil holder. Gave it the Star Wars treatment and it’s been received very well.
Made from redwood. Cut the pattern on the individual boards after covering them in painter’s tape. Then spraypainted it. It didn’t mask it perfectly, but made sanding afterwards much easier.
Still haven’t mastered miter joints, but I can live with the result.
Not trying to hijack your thread but this has been on my mind and seemed like a good place to ask. I remember reading in some other thread mention of a masking film that’s apparently readily available at Walmart. Ring a bell with anyone?
BTW: Bet your oldest has the trickest pencil holder in class.
