Squaring frame

I have my frame square and legs set. I printed some tools to help make sure gantry was parallel and my gantry seems spring loaded. Just wondering if this is normal and if the belts help hold everything when it’s finished.

The pics show where the bars naturally want to sit.

Nope they only hold when powered up.

I did not think so hmm. I have had no issues with my printer being off. I wonder what is up.

Use it for a while, you can adjust it better after you break it in a little bit. At the same time your build looks gigantic so any tiny angle error is amplified.

24"x27" basically cut 6ft tube for 24" and then left the little extra. I did buy .065 SS tubing. I am going to loosen everything up and go back through the instructions again. I could have easily done something wrong. This is why I printed tools for squaring and parallel. I am a Technician in the Marine Industry to I am a tool guys, haha

I would leave it, and just bend it enough to fit. After the motors are energized, they will hold it square. This is what we commonly refer to as “hardstops”. Yours are a design I haven’t seen before, but they look good.

Found the issue I had accidently tightened tension bolt A on middle assembly, I had left the others loose but torqued the one that says it affects squareness. I feel a Homer Simpson Dooohhhh is in order, haha.

It is alot better but still by no means perfect. I will have to run it and let it break in like Ryan said and hope I can adjust it later. I added some to the extrusion multiplier when printing parts, I commonly due the when the look is less important and I want extra strength. It also made the holes tight. Which when assembling I thought this was good no slop but didnt realize it might affect adjustments. The long bolt is supposed to bring the tubes together when tightening but it has no effect on my setup. That bolt was very tight through all those different layers. Could this be my issue?
