Some advise

HI Guys and Gals,

So end of last year I started exploring the CNC world and i build a MPCNC Primo, I am limited for space so originally i wanted a smaller machine that can cut boxes out for my other hobby but i want to start cutting bigger projects out. I loved every minute of building my MPCNC and am very happy with the machine but as time has gone on I see myself wanting to build the Lowrider as it can handle bigger material. I am thinking of building a half sheet lowrider.

My question is:

Do I build the Lowrider and keep the MPCNC or do I dismantle the MPCNC and build the Lowrider from the parts. What are your guy’s opinion on this.

Graham

When I built my LR3 I disassembled my Primo, but later on bought more parts to use it again as a plotter. If you want to use it as a second woodcutter, I don’t think it‘s necessary.

I built my lowrider from the mocnc parts and found it easier to load and unload work materials as well.

I kept my MPCNC for laser work. If I was only going to use it to cut wood, I would have dismantled it once I started using the LowRider. The LowRider is much better for woodwork. You get a bigger usable cutting area with it.
