Are any of you table top gamers? My brother in law is a game designer at EA, but his passion is DnD. He is releasing a campaign book on Kickstarter that looks pretty neat:

I retreated to playing Gloomhaven. 
I used to play battle tech when I was a kid. I was obsessed with mechwarrior in that stage. Man that was fun and painting the little models you buy.
My first computer was one my dad brought home it was a “laptop”
It was more of a brief case. But it had links on it. I think it was 386 iirc

DnD, not so much, sorry! (Although I used to play it in the early 80s)
DnD a long time ago.
Also some strategy games, a long time ago. One I recall was called GEV. Also a bunch of WW1/WW2 turn-based games.
The interest eventually died out for me.
My son has been getting into it. I always wanted to play, but my friends were never organized enough to actually get going.
My BIL gave my son a bunch of books (the manuals and some extra content). He is ready and willing to DM. There are about 5 kids in his group playing, with one of the dads running the campaign. Pretty soon my son will take over as DM. 
Those same dads are starting a grown up campaign which I am looking forward to. It’s a low time commitment and has a strong potential to be really fun.
