So I introduced this guy to 3D printing

Two years ago the wife in this family bought an Ender 3 from me to give to her husband for Christmas. Last year he bought a larger format Elegoo Neptune 4 Max for some larger projects.

This summer the whole family decided to 3D print (!) costumes for Halloween, and bought a Bambo Lab P1s! This is what they accomplished, using all of the machines, with everyone helping to assemble and paint (the oldest daughter learned to keep the machines running while Dad was out of town):

I think he might take my LR3 parts and trying CNC next.

That is a ton of printing but wow was it worth it. Those all look amazing.

What comes out of that creative fam with a CNC!?!

That ALMOST makes me want to believe that I need a Mando suit!
I have often thought about building a couple of StormTropper helmets to shove on a pike as a garden deterrent, but so far the Force has not been with me!

I can’t wait to see what the family CNC adventure brings!

WELL…

I wasn’t going to make my own thread about it… but since you brought it up…

This is part of what has had me tied up recently…

We did have to take some “Holy crap, tomorrow is Halloween!” shortcuts at the end, but he was super pumped about it.

This was in the plan, and part of what had him stay involved and help build the MP3DP v5 with me

My v4 and v5 were sized to print a full helmet. Have not yet attempted though. Very cool family set and mandalorisan suit!

Wow you brain seeded them hard !! Nice work seems like you created a bit of a monster :).
You should gently lead them to that post in here about the foam armour that some great minded individual did in here.
