SMRRF 2027 has just been announced for March 6-7, returning to Manchester, UK. To give ourselves a bit more breathing room, we should probably start sorting out the logistics earlier this time around. What does everyone think? Are we up for doing this again @MakerJim @FreneticScribbler @stevempotter??

I also think I’ve convinced Ryan, Jeff, and Jamie (and families) to come to next years SMRRF.
Edit: Less that I convinced them and more that everyone was really excited at the prospect of going next year…
For me at least, the trip was amazing. I wish I’d taken some more time to spend locally ahead of the show.
Okay, you need to bring a tent then, I can’t host 4 for a sleepover. 
What do you call them in Europe? Not an RV- a caravan? Are there caravan parks nearby you in Oldenburg?

No, that’s not common in Germany. We’ve got an excellent youth hostel though.
Im well past youth at this point in my life. It is intriguing though.
It’s for everyone and its excellent. Youth Hostels aren’t a lot cheaper than hotels these days either.

I am convinced. It’s my wife that needs convincing. Or more accurately, I have to negotiate a low price from her before I can go. I’ll work on it though.

Huh, don’t you have more time then? My 11yo is rarely to be seen, being with friends or in the library etc.
Not around here, they seem to require more time. There world seems to be expanding and they want to finally do things that are not just right across the street. It also means you have to tell them a 45 minute drive for that one hamburger they loved is too far for a burger on a whim.
Oh, I remember that you don’t really do that walkable city thing. 
As a point of reference, I have relatives here in Colorado who live in a county with less than 1 person per square mile (1 person per 2.6 square km)
Edit- so about the same surface area as Luxembourg, population less than 800 people compared to around 700,000 for Luxembourg.
