Smoking Meat

I hang my head in shame… haven’t used my smoker all summer.

I haven’t used my personal one either… This was my dads :flushed:

My pellet smoker actually broke… and I’m too Broke/cheap to replace it, and been to busy to see if its fixable

Have to do two pieces. One lean cut for my wife and a nice fatty piece for me… love me some burnt ends!!!

It happens to the best of us :yum: it just makes the resurgence all the better

That’s yummy too. We usually do two chickens one each way (in case we mess something up. That never happens :roll_eyes:) but no one was hungry enough for two this time

Well I did it today and finally picked up some more meat… (told my wife it was peer pressure🤣) going to clean the smoker tomorrow. I’m off next week. Perfect time to fire it up while working around the house, weeding, pruning the palm trees and bannanas, plant the new pineapples… damn, exhausted just thinking about it… lol

Made pork chops on the weber yesterday. They came out great.

Today, the son wanted cedar plank salmon.

Guess at what point the plank dried out on me…

Salmon was a little chareed.

I brought it in. I tasted a piece that didn’t have any burn marks. It had a nasty bitter taste. I told my son not to eat it and we had Ramen for dinner :slight_smile: .

Found some decent fatty pork and made some Canadian bacon.
Basic just maple syrup salt and pepper corns.
I rinsed it one to many times and it wasn’t salty enough for me. I hope you are all having a great day.
